The Settlers of Catan

This game is probably the best ever created. And... if I do get the game for Christmas like I am hoping because it is on my wish list... then I think the members of 303FC will be experiencing the greatness of the game very soon. We will be blessed with many hours of bonding and game-hood. Wow... just thinking about this is amazing.

Hello from the East Side of 303 FC.  What a week. Ohio officially won the first poll on this blog, much to Matt's dismay, and thus a new poll has been posted, ready to officially determine the best female ping pong player at AU.  Surprisingly Nick "the Italian" Villelli made the poll, but so far has pulled in no votes.
I have been focusing on my studies of late, in the paraphrased words of Mulan, "Getting down to business".  Papers and projects and tests, oh my.  Add on meetings and Christmas parties and the valley begins to look like a Jungle.  Luckily the newly lit Christmas tree is there to guide one's way (although the power strip on it burnt out in the rain).
Late night convos have eased up, as we each seek to complete the many assignments due.  Soccer recruitment for IM's is heavy on our minds, however, and has been the talking point of many a conversation. We have also considered selling a DVD of our Christmas music videos online, but today were reminded we would probably be committing some serious copyright infringement in doing so. Ah well.  I am running off of very little sleep, so I think I must go, but I suppose that effectively wraps up the week thus far. Matt can fill in the gaps.

eBus Final Project Positives

The truly great thing about this project, is that at 2:29 AM, on a Thursday night of all studying and no play, one can find his escape from the burdens and slavery of his pre-exam hell week in the very chains that bind him. For here is where I can take a break, release from my constancy, give my mind a chance to breathe. Oh glory to blogging.

It is an irony, that when all the rest of my classes become the oppressor, this eBus project can become the liberator.

Another positive of this project is that I get to create a blog that glorifies the wonderful apartment that I live in for all the world. And that people can be blessed with the chance to read of how sweet we are.

Also... a positive is that I can perform a statistical sample survey to properly determine the best midwest state... and so far I am able to conclude that the majority of the Internet population think Michigan is the best. Thank you for google's blogger to help me create such a sound survey based on this of all wonderful sample population.

Ok, bedtime.

Reflections on midnight convo in Room 2

If you remember, we talked for awhile about how crazy of interpretations can be made from scripture and how almost anyone can use the bible to justify whatever they want. Not only that, but how whole groups of people in the Church can justify something that seems to us to be so contrary to the truth of Jesus Christ with the Bible, and in their consciouses think that it is still truth. That very thing they believe could be almost polar opposites of something another group of the church believes to be truth and justified by its interpretation of the bible. How does one expect to find one truth amongst all this and actually find the same phronesis(attitude/mind) of Jesus amongst all these complexities? So confusing...

A verse of relation I read this morning...

"But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ." -1 Corinthians 11:3

-with love,
Matt
